Gichathaini is one of three washing stations within the Gikanda Farmers Cooperative Society, serving 770 smallholders near Karatina, on the eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya. Abundant rainfall and cool nights create the perfect conditions for exceptional coffee. Ripe cherries are handpicked, washed with clean Ragati River water, and sun-dried on raised beds—resulting in a cup that’s bright, clear, and full of vibrant character.
